Many of you may still remember the major hail storm from March 29, 2012. The hail storm dumped hail the size of baseballs for more than 30 minutes. The winds were raging at 70 to 75mph, making the hail even more damaging to buildings, cars, and homes.

For McAllen, this was one of the worst storms. Given the storm’s magnitude, the whole community is fortunate to have escaped with no serious injuries or fatalities. However, the storm did leave behind A LOT of damage. How much damage? Over $200 million, according to the Insurance Council of Texas.
